GP Connect places GP locums across NHS and private primary care, with cover guaranteed. Manual coordination across matching, compliance and payroll capped how much the team could place. We mapped the operation and designed the AI-native target state.
GP Connect specialises in connecting GP locums with the primary-care industry, guaranteeing cover and removing the operational burden of contracts, payroll and compliance for practices and PCNs. The promise is high-touch and high-reliability, but the work behind it ran on manual coordination across candidate matching, right-to-work and GMC compliance, availability, rates and weekly payroll. Demand was outpacing the capacity of a manual operation.
